Cocktail vs Mocktail- February Edition

Back with another post for "Cocktail vs Mocktail", but make it February edition. Did y'all make it through dry January? Did you extend through this month? I heard a few superheroes giving up alcohol for lent. While that literally could not be me, I'm here for you guys too and I love a good mocktail. The theme of these two drinks is the color PINK. One because it's my favorite color and two because what better way to close out love month. For the cocktail, I made a Cosmopolitan (so fresh, so fun). For the mocktail, I made a drink called the Pink Panther. My mama flew in from Atlanta this weekend, so she made a guest star appearance in the bartender work. Shoutout to my bestie! These two drinks were a huge hit. Make them both and see which one you like best. Like I mentioned in my January edition, I am going to choose one cocktail and one mocktail to highlight on my blog each month.

Team Cocktail: Cosmopolitan

It's giving Sex in the City and I love it.

Quick note: We are going for the much less sugar option by using an Ocean Spray Diet 5 cranberry juice. Too much sugar gives your girl a headache, sorry about it. If you would like to add that extra sugar back in, choose your fighter cranberry juice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce of vodka

  • 1 ounce cranberry juice

  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau or a orange liquer

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup (this is where your sweetness comes back in)

  • Optional garnish: lime wedge

Team Mocktail: Pink Panther

So refreshing!

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces sparkling lemonade

  • 2 ounce 100% cranberry juice (unsweetened)

  • 1 ounce sweet and sour mix

  • Ice

  • Optional garnish: lemon wedge and mint sprig

What are you waiting for? Go make that cutie little drink!
